Oh libraries how I love thee. Now that I'm done with Les Mis (that took a solid month to read) I'm back to my regular library visits. I didn't realize just how much I missed them until I spent some time in one again today.
You can see the mountains even from downtown on the street. You turn a corner and there they are! I don't think I'd ever get over how great that is, even if I lived there for years.
We arrive in Denver! Renting a car is surprisingly easy. Once we get into the city we park the car for the night and go off exploring downtown on foot.
Being on vacation is nice. Technically getting paid to read in the park is even better.
I leave for Denver tomorrow morning. My thank you gift if wrapped and my bag is packed. Have a good week everyone. I'll have a challenge trying to edit all the photos I take down to a couple posts when I get back.
So these pieces are really hard to photograph, and to be honest, I need to try harder to get a better documentation of them.
As I've mentioned, I leave for Colorado on Wednesday. This is my thank you gift for out hosts. A little plane traveling from NY to CO. It was fun to alter a pre-made frame to fit this project. (I miss working in custom framing...using my hands everyday...having to problem solve to create each individual project).
Yet another morning where I want to just stay in the peaceful light and not have to rush off to other responsibilities. I guess I can always relive it in photographs.
I ran my errands (saved 50% on car insurance!!!) came back home, lit a candle and read. It's my goal to finish Les Mis by the time I go on vacation. I leave for Colorado (!!!) on Wednesday. I'm so excited!
I have no idea how it's fall already. I'm still waiting to do all the summer things I was too busy for. I've made a point to quickly embrace this new season and not let it pass by too; scarfs, crisp air, cider donuts, pumpkins, butternut squash, mums...
It's dark when I wake up now and quickly approaching sunset when I get home. I'm not ready for this!!! I have to learn to quickly embrace fall or it's going to only feel dreary.
I didn't get a good picture of this project, but don't worry I'll be making plenty more and I'll get better pictures. It's art made from lot's of tiny pin holes. And it's addicting.
I woke up early and went for a morning walk on labor day. The light was so warm looking. The sun felt like a good old friend reassuring me it'll still be there through winter (which is approaching too fast).
With September I can feel summer light dieing off and don't feel ready to lose it. Summer just started...what happened? I guess I have to give it up and instead look forward to the crispness of fall.
test. I could put a whole book together of test shots of my hands. In fact, I'd like to.
This was technically taken last night (after I had already posted for the day) but I keep coming back to it and I wanted to share. Much different then early spring or winter. It feels so out of my normal world...
