I guess it was just a cat kind of day.

A table by day, a table by night.

Here's the same staircase, but subtle differences in detail and exposure can change the whole feeling. Light and pristine or darker with tear marks. ..proves again how photography is always subjective. It's almost impossible to show something as it "truly" is since you can portray the same scene in various ways, no tricks, just straight shots.

It's just so beautiful on these foggy almost-winter mornings.

This morning was BEAUTIFUL.

Anything and everything felt so crisp that it would break at the slightest touch. In light this gorgeous you're reminded how full of potential everything is.

Looks like the clouds fell from the sky and floated on down to the sidewalk.

On the road to Boston.

Disappearing buildings.

Rain will not stop me from photographing.

November 13, 2009

I had trouble choosing an image to post today. I did some night shooting which I love! I liked this one.

I also liked this one, but I can't decide if it's only because it fits my mood (feeling confronted; a lot to deal with and no choice in the matter).

Also, battle of the muffins! Mocha Chocolate Chip Vs. Banana Chocolate Chip. The judges, my road trip companions tomorrow, will decide.

Unless I break my legs I will never choose to take the elevator in a building with a staircase this great! A corporate building with a surprise stairway like this made my day.

November 10, 2009

I'm starting to think I should carry a tripod everywhere now that the daylight hours are impossibly short, especially since I'm finally back to work full time. On the plus side at least I'm working in a new area and have a lot to visually explore!

November 8th and 60 degrees?! Of course a day like today should be spent skipping stones on the river.

Something set me in motion. I feel full with possibility. Pen to paper in a sketchbook is one of the best, most thrilling feelings. A sketchbook is for it's creators eyes, it does not need to please anyone else, and it's safe (no idea is bad or unworthy of being written). A sketchbook says "these are all the things I can do," and most importantly "I am alive!"

It's been a year since I've been able to print!

Today I finally have and it was great! It's hard for me to make quick work prints. I hate producing something "quick," but I understand that I need to in order to see the images closer, to be able to hold them, and to physically arrange and rearrange them.

November 2, 2009

I went for a walk today to de-stress.

This next (shameful) series is to answer a question a friend recently asked me "Do you take a lot of pictures of your cat on days when you're home? Because that's almost all that's on my camera."

Can you tell I woke her up from nap # 37 du jour?
