A willow tree in Central Park right before the rainfall, waving it's arms "it's coming, it's coming! The rain is coming." It was beautiful. When I see something like that, I wish the rest of the world would stop so I could spend hours staying in that moment.
Maybe this shows it's dance better.

I spent the day at Marine Park and the Salt Marsh Nature Center in Brooklyn. New places means lots of pictures; and more importantly the type of pictures taken with new eyes. If only you could see things for the first time every time.
Inside the Nature Center.
8:40am.
A gentle breeze on a warm summer day.
A plane shaped cloud!
Surrounding the marsh.

I suppose it's good that I can't decide on just one things to post. That must mean I'm producing more work...or I'm just too tired to decide (this week has worn me out quite a bit for some reason).
The Little Red Lighthouse. Manhattan's only remaining lighthouse.
A juvenile cedar waxwing was found this afternoon and brought into the nature center, before the end of the day we re released it back into the woods. We hope it makes it.

My feet aren't actually disproportionate. I blame the inaccuracy on the difficultly of drawing on a moving train, although the real excuse is my imperfect drawing skills.
I often forget that when I'm on the subway most people are watching me draw. So today, the fellow passengers also noticed my fight with the pen as it died mid drawing. One women gave me her pen as she got off the train. Genuinely surprised and happy I gave her a big thank you. I love when strangers make me smile!
